About Us

While this practice has been here for 10 years, I have actually been in exclusively small animal practice for the last 30 years.

This practice achieved RCVS Certification in 2010, which is no mean feat. One of the many requirements is on-going training to keep everybody up-to-date.

This practice tends to see mainly small to medium breeds of dogs, cats, rabbits, and also guinea pigs, hamsters and rats. The practice is sufficiently equipped to treat all these different types of pet.

The fees charged are mid-range for this area and there is a list of our prices in the reception room.

Our daily routine (which is NOT set in stone) is:

  • 8.00am - 9.00am: Admissions/preparation for surgery/x-ray/blood tests/workups etc.
  • 8.00am - 10.30am: Consultations.
  • 10.30am onwards: Surgery.
  • 3.00pm - 4.00pm: Is the best time to ring if you need to speak to the vet directly about anything.
  • 4.00pm - 6.30pm: Consultations and collecting your pets from surgery.

The consultation times for the weekend (Saturday 9.00am - 12.00noon).

We are closed on public holidays but after hours the centre is open.

The practice is fully equipped with a:

  • Surgery;
  • Dental Unit;
  • X-Ray Machine;
  • Blood test equipment.

However, like a GP, if needs be, I have no hesitation in setting up Referrals for you to a handful of specialists I recommend. This does not mean I am dumping you and most of the referrals continue to come back as regular clients.

Scripts are also available once the medication is established. I am quite happy to and normally do process Insurance Claims for you.
