About Us

This practice achieved its Royal College of Veterinary Surgeons (RCVS) Certification in 2010, which is updated every 4 years with regular inspections from RCVS. One of the many requirements is on-going training to keep everybody up-to-date.

This practice attends to mainly small to medium breeds of dogs, cats, rabbits, and also guinea pigs, hamsters and rats. The practice is sufficiently equipped to treat all these different types of pet.

Our daily routine (which is NOT set in stone) is:

  • 8.00am - 9.00am: Admissions/preparation for surgery/x-ray/blood tests/workups etc.
  • 8.00am - 10.30am: Consultations.
  • 10.30am onwards: Surgery.
  • 3.00pm - 4.00pm: Is the best time to ring if you need to speak to the vet directly about anything.
  • 4.00pm - 6.30pm: Consultations and collecting your pets from surgery.

The consultation times for the weekend (Saturday 9.00am - 12.00noon).

We are closed on public holidays but the emergency vets (VetsNow or Newnham Court Vets) is open.

The practice is fully equipped with a:

  • Surgery;
  • Dental Unit;
  • X-Ray Machine;
  • Blood test equipment.

However, like a GP, if needs be, Mr Chambers has no hesitation in setting up referrals for you, to a handful of specialists he can recommend. In some cases a specialists is advised  but only for specialist treatment, whilst we are still here to accomadate for regular treatment for your animal.

Written Prescriptions are also available once the medication is established.  We are quite happy to process Insurance Claims for you, for no charge.
